My Favourite Hidden Coffee Gem In NI!

If you're ever in Portrush and you're a coffee lover you have to check out Chosen Coffee . It’s this cute little coffee truck tucked away in a car park, and honestly, it feels like a hidden gem. I stumbled across it recently, and now I can't stop raving about it. First off, the coffee is something else. I went for a caramel latte, and it did not disappoint. It was smooth, sweet, and just the right kind of warming. You know when you take that first sip and everything feels right? That’s exactly how I felt with this caramel latte. And the cups? Don’t even get me started. They’re super cute, with a design that makes you want to snap a pic before you’ve even taken a sip. The best part is the graphic of their dog on the cup it’s those little personal touches that really make Chosen Coffee stand out and feel extra special. The best part? It’s so relaxed and easy going. You order from the truck, and then you’ve got the perfect excuse to grab your coffee and head straight to the ...

Tasty Discoveries - My Favourite January Food Finds

Now that February is here, I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you some of my favourite Northern Ireland finds from the month of January. From hidden gems to standout spots, here is a rundown of what's stood out for me in January.

Rossharbour Resort - Enniskillen

First up is Rossharbour, a peaceful spot on Lough Erne. It’s perfect for unwinding, but the food really stood out. We had a two-course meal as part of our package, and both the salt and chilli chicken starter and chicken stack main were fantastic – beautifully presented and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Whether you're staying overnight or just exploring the area, Rossharbour is definitely worth a visit, especially with the scenic drive.

Hendrix - Belfast

Hendrix is a place I’ve visited a few times before, but it really stood out to me this month. I love how the menu offers an extensive range, with the option to order small plates and share – it’s a great way to try a variety of dishes. My personal favourites are the salt and chilli chicken and the chicken tagliatelle. If you haven’t been yet, I’d highly recommend adding it to your list!

7 Towers Burgers - Ballymena

This is a spot I’d been wanting to try for ages, and I finally made it there this month! The burgers are fantastic – I went for the Mac 10, their take on a Big Mac, and it was miles better. The portions are huge, especially for the price. I also shared a side of the peppered fries, which were equally amazing. If you're looking to try something new, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

As we settle into February its the perfect time to try something new, if you are looking for something fresh this month definitely check these spots out - You won't be disappointed!
