My Favourite Hidden Coffee Gem In NI!

If you're ever in Portrush and you're a coffee lover you have to check out Chosen Coffee . It’s this cute little coffee truck tucked away in a car park, and honestly, it feels like a hidden gem. I stumbled across it recently, and now I can't stop raving about it. First off, the coffee is something else. I went for a caramel latte, and it did not disappoint. It was smooth, sweet, and just the right kind of warming. You know when you take that first sip and everything feels right? That’s exactly how I felt with this caramel latte. And the cups? Don’t even get me started. They’re super cute, with a design that makes you want to snap a pic before you’ve even taken a sip. The best part is the graphic of their dog on the cup it’s those little personal touches that really make Chosen Coffee stand out and feel extra special. The best part? It’s so relaxed and easy going. Awaken - A North Coast Gem


If you're after a cosy brunch spot on the North Coast, Awaken is a must visit. I popped in recently and was honestly so impressed. I kicked things off with my usual, a caramel latte. The coffee was on point, the perfect balance of sweet and strong, which is a win in my book!

But the real highlight was the brunch. I went for the Prom and Bacon Stack, fluffy pancakes with bacon, greek yoghurt, and a delicious berry compote. It’s not a dish I would normally go for, but I’m so glad I did. The fruit was super fresh, and all the flavours just worked together so well.

There was a bit of a queue outside, which I know can put some people off, but for me, that’s always a good sign. And in this case, it was definitely worth the wait. Awaken is the perfect place to kick back, enjoy some top-notch food, and take in the amazing views, as it's right along the promenade.

Awaken isn’t just about the food, it’s the whole vibe. It’s the ideal spot to chill, sip your coffee, and really enjoy every bite. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or a full brunch, it’s got that laid-back, feel-good energy. Definitely a place you’ll want to keep coming back to.
